(R.I. Gen. Laws § 28-5-37) - Every employer, employment agency,
and labor union subject to this chapter shall post in a conspicuous
place or places on his or her premises a notice which shall set
forth excerpts of the Fair Employment Practices chapter and any
other relevant information which the commission deems necessary to
explain the chapter.
PENALTY FOR NONCOMPLIANCE: Any employer, employment
agency, or labor union refusing to comply with the provisions of
this section shall be punished by a fine of not less than one
hundred dollars ($100) nor more than five hundred dollars
($500).

(R.I. Gen. Laws § 28-12-11) - Every employer subject to any
provision of this chapter or of any regulations or orders issued
under this chapter shall keep a summary of this chapter, approved
by the Director of Labor and Training, and copies of any applicable
wage orders and regulations issued under this chapter, posted in a
conspicuous and accessible place in or about the premises where any
person subject to them is employed.
PENALTY FOR NONCOMPLIANCE: Any employer who otherwise
violates any provision of this chapter or of any regulation or
order issued under this chapter shall be deemed in violation of
this chapter and shall upon conviction be fined not less than one
hundred dollars ($100) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500).
Each day of violation shall constitute a separate offense.

(R.I. Gen. Laws § 28-29-13) - Every employer subject to or who
elects to become subject to the provisions of chapters 29 -- 38 of
this title shall display a copy of the summary of the major
provisions of the Workers' Compensation Act in conspicuous places
in which workers are employed.
PENALTY FOR NONCOMPLIANCE: Any employer who fails to post
the summaries required in this section shall be assessed a penalty
of two hundred and fifty dollars ($250) per offense.
Unemployment Insurance - Department of Labor

(R.I. Gen. Laws § 28-41-15) - Each employer shall post and
maintain printed statements of subsection (b) of this section
regarding unemployment insurance and of those regulations, in
places readily accessible to individuals in his or her service.

(R.I. Gen. Laws § 28-48-9) - Each employer shall post and keep
posted, in conspicuous places upon its premises where notices to
employees and applicants for employment are customarily posted, a
notice, to be approved by the agency, setting forth excerpts from,
or summaries of, the pertinent provisions of this chapter and
information pertaining to the filing of a charge.
PENALTY FOR NONCOMPLIANCE: Any employer that willfully
violates this section shall be assessed a civil money penalty not
to exceed one hundred dollars ($100) for each separate offense.

(R.I. Gen. Laws § 28-21-1) - An employer who uses, transports,
stores, or otherwise exposes its employees to toxic or hazardous
substances shall post a notice at conspicuous locations at each
workplace and be readily available to employees for examination
during all hours of operation. The poster shall also contain the
rights of employees under this chapter.

Safety Law prohibits smoking in essentially all enclosed
