(AR Stat. §20-27-1806) and (AR Stat. §20-27-1804) - (a) The
prohibitions on smoking in subsections (a) and (b) of this section
and the provisions of subdivision (b)(2) of this section shall be
communicated to all current employees by their employer within
thirty (30) days of July 21, 2006, and to each prospective employee
upon application for employment. (a) "No Smoking" signs or the
international "No Smoking" symbol consisting of a pictorial
representation of a burning cigarette enclosed in a red circle with
a red bar across it may be clearly and conspicuously posted by the
owner, operator, manager, or other person in control in every
public place and place of employment in which smoking is prohibited
by this subchapter.
PENALTY FOR NONCOMPLIANCE: Any person
who violates any provision of this subchapter is guilty of a
violation and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine of not
less than one hundred dollars ($100) nor more than five hundred
dollars ($500).
