(26 M.R.S. § 668) - Every employer subject to this subchapter shall
keep a summary of this subchapter posted in a conspicuous place, in
or about the premises, wherein any person subject to this
subchapter is employed or in a place accessible to his employees.
PENALTY FOR NONCOMPLIANCE: Any employer who violates this
subchapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine of
not less than $50 nor more than $200.

(39-A M.R.S. § 406) - A notice in a form as the Board approves,
stating that the employer has conformed to this Act, together with
other information as the Board determines, must be posted by the
employer and kept posted by the employer in each of the employer's
mills, factories or places of business. The notice must be
conspicuous and posted in a place accessible to the employer's
employees.

(26 M.R.S. § 42-B) - An employer subject to the laws outlined in
the printed poster or notice regarding employment of minors shall
post and keep posted in a place accessible to the employer's
employees a copy of the printed poster or notice.
PENALTY FOR NONCOMPLIANCE: An employer who violates either
section 42-B or 702 is subject to the following forfeiture or civil
penalty, payable to the State and recoverable in a civil action: a)
For the first violation or a violation not subject to an enhanced
sanction under paragraph B or C, a forfeiture of not less than $50
nor more than $250; b) For a 2nd violation occurring within 3 years
of a prior adjudication, a forfeiture of not less than $100 nor
more than $1,000; or c) For a 3rd and subsequent violation
occurring within 3 years of 2 or more prior adjudications, a
forfeiture or penalty of not less than $250 nor more than
$2,500.

such notices to its workers as the Maine Unemployment Insurance
Commission shall from time to time require. Such notices shall be
posted in conspicuous places near the actual locations where
workers' services are performed.

Sexual Harassment - Human Rights Commission

(26 M.R.S. § 807) - An employer shall post in a prominent and
accessible location in the workplace a poster providing, at a
minimum, the following information: the illegality of sexual
harassment; a description of sexual harassment, utilizing examples;
the complaint process available through the commission; and
directions on how to contact the commission. The text of this
poster may meet but may not exceed 6th-grade literacy standards.

Video Display Terminal Operators (26 M.R.S. § 252)
- Employers must establish an education and training program for
all operators which shall include notification of the rights and
duties created under this subchapter by posting in a prominent
location in the workplace a copy of this subchapter and a written
notice that explains these rights and duties in plain language.

(26 M.R.S. § 839) - Each employer shall prominently post the
notice regarding protection of employees who report or refuse to
commit illegal acts in the employer's place of business so that the
employees are informed of their protections and obligations under
this subchapter.
PENALTY FOR NONCOMPLIANCE: A person who violates section
839 is liable for a civil fine of $10 for each day of willful
violation which shall not be suspended. Any civil fine imposed
under this section shall be submitted to the Treasurer of State for
deposit to the General Fund.
